Pottstown Schools Ramp Up Security After Bullying-Linked Shooting
"Sunday night was a serious crime which could have been deadly....all perpetrators should be arrested," the superintendent said.

POTTSTOWN, PA — Security has been increased in the Pottstown School District after officials confirmed a shooting incident at a local home was tied to an ongoing confrontation between students.
The mother of one of the students, whom she says has been viciously bullied for six months, added that the school district and police did not take action when she reported the threats and bullying.
Pottstown School District Superintendent Stephen Rodriguez said on Tuesday that the district was taking the situation very seriously and cooperating with police.

"What happened Sunday night was a serious crime which could have been deadly," Rodriguez said. "All perpetrators should be arrested."
Security personnel will be in place during both arrival and dismissal times at schools. Pottstown Police will also have a presence during those times, at least for the time being.

The mother of the girl whose house was attacked shared a summary of events on social media which has since gone viral. In it, she described six months of horrifying bullying perpetrated on her daughter, culminating in a group of middle schoolers screaming outside the girl's house on Sunday night.
Police were called and shortly after they left, a dozen shots were fired into the home.
