Woman Threatened To Use Pepper Spray In Boscov's Robbery: Cops

The woman stole more than $800 in merchandise from the Boscov's, police said.

POTTSTOWN, PA — A Pottstown woman was arrested after stealing more than $800 worth of items from the local Boscov's, police said.

The incident occurred on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Boscov's in the Coventry Mall.

Jennifer Adkins, 36, gathered together a total of $868.21 worth of merchandise, and then left the store without paying, police said.

While she fled the scene and Boscov's loss prevention officers pursued her, she threatened to use pepper spray to avoid capture, according to authorities.

As she ran she dropped the merchandise, which was recovered , and she was soon arrested.

She now faces charges of robbery, retail theft, terroristic threats, and possession of an instrument of crime.

She was arraigned on Jan. 19 and released on $10,000 bail.
