Pottstown's Antonelli Institute To Shut Down
Pottstown's Antonelli Medical and Professional Institute announced that it will shut down at the end of the month.

POTTSTOWN, PA — Pottstown's Antonelli Medical and Professional Institute (AMPI) has announced that it is shutting down.
The private technical school will shut its doors permanently at the end of December. Classes for medical night students will continue until then.
"It is with a saddened heart that we announce the closing of AMPI indefinitely," the school announced on its Facebook page. "We thank you for riding the wave with us. Contact staff for further assistance. Thank You!"

Trouble has been brewing in recent months, however, due to the U.S. Department of Education's refusal to allow the school to partake in its financial aid program.

In response to the closure, Montgomery County Community College is holding two special information sessions to help displaced students learn about new opportunities.
The sessions will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The sessions will be held in Room 121 of the Health Careers Suite on West Campus in Pottstown.
