POTTSTOWN, PA — A portion of the Schuylkill River Trail in Pottstown will be transformed into a work of art, and the public is invited to help complete the installation.

The project, organized by the Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritage Area, is similar to a project on the Charlotte, North Carolina Rail Trail. The mural will be designed by public input and finalized by local artist Jody Wenzel. It will be placed on the RiverWalk section of the trail at Riverfront Park in Pottstown,in front of the pollinator garden and near the park's amphitheater.

Wenzel, who has already designed several other pieces of art along the Schuylkill River Trail, said that art has an important place as it merges with educational material and the natural environment.
