Ringing Phone Led To Lower Pottsgrove Man Assaulting Woman: Cops

When her phone kept ringing the man snapped and punched her in the face, causing her to lose consciousness, according to authorities.

LOWER POTTSGROVE, PA — A man assaulted a woman in Lower Pottsgrove recently because her phone wouldn't stop ringing, according to police.

The incident occurred on Thursday, Feb. 7 on the 2100 block of Buchert Road, in a vehicle parked outside of the Rolling Hills Apartments.

The man, Domonic Isaish Ockimey, 26, hit the victim in the left side of her face, police said.

When the victim came to, she got out of the vehicle and began to yell for help, according to authorities.

Ockimey chased her around the car and the pair wound up wrestling on the ground, with Ockimey pulling her hair, police said.

Neighbors intervened then, and were able to stop the assault.

A warrant is out for Ockimey's arrest. He's charged with two counts of simple assault, and one count of harassment.
