LOWER POTTSGROVE, PA — Lane closures continued into the early afternoon Monday after a crash on Rt. 422 near Armand Hammer Boulevard.
The incident occurred at around 7 a.m. when a truck hit a guardrail near the railroad underpass and began leaking fuel into the roadway, authorities said.
Construction was already in progress in the area, compounding the issue, according to eyewitnesses.

The road was shut down and traffic was diverted off at the exit, authorities said.
The resulting cleanup continued throughout the morning, and local fire and police crews remained at the scene in the early afternoon.

Nearby, an accident on Sunnybrook Road and East High Street in Pottstown at around 9:40 a.m. caused additional traffic.
No injuries have been reported.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
