'Significant' Route 422 Impacts Expected With Coming Roadwork

Construction is expected to bring significant delays around the area, officials said.

LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA — Lane closures are planned on Route 422 next week in Montgomery County and Chester County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Wednesday.

"Significant" backups and delays are expected, officials said.

Closures will be in place from Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10 between the Sanatoga and Hanover Street interchanges.

Westbound lanes will be restricted from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Eastbound lanes will be restricted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The work will reconstruct and improve about 2.1 miles of the expressway, including bridge replacement.
