One of the region's most popular beer festivals is days away. Goat racing, numerous Bavarian style beers, live German-style music, and more.

POTTSTOWN, PA — One of the region's most popular beer festivals is just days away.

The Sly Fox Brewing Company Bock Festival and Goat Races will be held for its 18th year this Sunday, May 6, at the Circle of Progress in Pottstown.

The festival is inspired by traditional Bavarian festivals that occur in the spring in Europe, but with a unique twist: goats that race.

"The first year a few goats showed up to race," said Brian O'Reilly, who came up with the idea for the festival. "Bock Fest started small, but today, it's the kick-off to our summer season and something we look forward to all year round."

Sunday's event will include 60 competitors competing in front thousands of attendees.
