Steelers and Regensberg shut down Perkiomen 3-0
Bux-Mont American Legion League playoffs -first round
RED HILL - The Steelers got an outstanding pitching effort from Hill School junior Seth Regensberg, who fanned seven and allowed four hits while going the distance for Pottstown as they defeated Perkiomen 3-0 in a Bux-Mont first round playoff tilt on Thursday.
A phenomenal catch against the walk by Sage Reinhart in the third inning kept Perkiomen off the board and did not allow the home squad to snatch the momentum.
“We did what we needed to tonight to get the win,” said Steelers manager Todd Endy. “This is about the best defensive team I have coached in my years here and tonight was no different. Greta pitching and defense gives you a chance to win every game and I think we have as good a shot as any one.”

Pottstown plated three runs in the fifth inning to give the left hander all the run support he would need as he picked apart the Perkiomen line up, getting ahead in the count and making them chase his breaking stuff.
“Sage made a great catch there,” said Regensberg. “If they get a run or two there it would have been a different game. I was able to get my fastball on the corners, when I can do that I can really use my breaking ball to get batters out. There is no reason we can not go all the way in this tournament.”
