Students Plan March For Our Lives In Pottstown

POTTSTOWN, PA — Students across the Pottstown area are organizing a March for Our Lives this weekend at Riverfront Park.

The March for Our Lives is a student-led, peaceful demonstration, and will be held Saturday, March 24. The goal, according to organizers, is "to unite our community to reduce gun violence and to center student voices for safety in our schools and communities."

The symbolic march is in solidarity with the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, Florida and aims to push for common sense gun laws and policies.

Marchers will meet at Riverfront Park's Rotary Pavilion, located on 140 College Drive, at 12 p.m.

"This rally is for anyone (and everyone) who cares about their family and friends' safety. We will not tolerate gun violence anymore. It's time to unite, have our voices heard, and make a change," organizers said.

Students from the Hill School and Pottstown High School are organizing the event.
