Breaking: A teenage boy was shot in a home invasion in North Coventry late Sunday night, authorities said.

NORTH COVENTRY, PA — A teenage boy was shot in a home invasion in North Coventry late Sunday night, authorities said.

The incident occurred on the 700 block of Worth Boulevard in North Coventry Township at around 11 p.m., according to North Coventry Police.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was transported by Goodwill Ambulance to a nearby trauma center where he remained in critical condition on Monday morning.

Police said that the incident was not random, and that the suspects knew the victims inside the apartment. At least one of the suspects has been identified, police said.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.

North Coventry Police were assisted at the scene by Goodwill Ambulance, Pottstown Borough Police. West Pottsgrove Police, East Coventry Police and the Chester County Detectives.
