 “Banksgiving” in Recognition of Bank’s Customers

For its Banksgiving program this year, Tompkins VIST Bank donated funds to area food banks, including Share Foods, Inc.  In partnership with 450 community-based organizations and thousands of volunteer packers and drivers, the Share Food Program distributes 4 million pounds of food relief to children, families, and seniors throughout Greater Philadelphia.

 
Wyomissing, PA – During this month of national gratitude, Tompkins VIST Bank is donating a total of $15,000 to three food pantries in its southeastern Pennsylvania marketplace in a program it calls “Banksgiving.” The organizations are:
•             Berks County- Helping Harvest
•             Greater Philadelphia- Share Foods, Inc.
•             Schuylkill County – Council of Churches of Schuylkill Haven

“With many people still struggling from the impact of the pandemic, we wanted to provide this gift to our communities,” said Scott Gruber, president and CEO.  He added that the donations are in honor of the bank’s customers, in recognition of their ongoing loyalty.
