• Woodland Ave. church announces Bazaar for All Seasons (punxsutawneyspirit.com) — Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church in Punxsutawney is hosting its Bazaar for All Seasons on Friday, Oct. 2, and Saturday, Oct. 3, with crafts, baked goods, soups, and yard-sale items. Locals can enjoy eat-in or takeout lunches Friday and takeout on Saturday, with proceeds supporting the church's ministries and seasonal holiday offerings for Halloween, Christmas, and fall.
   

• State Police Detail DUI Arrests, Brady Township Vandalism (gantnews.com) — State police based in Punxsutawney report a Young Township traffic stop where a Virginia man was jailed on suspected DUI and drug charges after being pulled over on Walston Road. Troopers also detailed a separate suspected DUI in DuBois and significant vandalism to trucks and trailers in Brady Township, asking anyone with information to contact PSP DuBois.
