The DVCEE is a collaborative association of 36 school districts located throughout Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and northern Delaware, as well as several intermediate units, and the PA State Education Association, according to the district.
Each Consortium district was invited to bring a team of 10 emerging student leaders to the conference who they believe might significantly benefit by the experience. The RHS students selected are members of the school's Black Students Union, the district said.

"Our students participated in a variety of workshops with a focus on diversity, empowerment and leadership," Stango said. "It was a great opportunity for [the students] to develop personally and establish ideas that can have a positive impact on our school."
The goal of the one-day forum was to help support the development of the leadership and academic potential of diverse students in DVCEE school districts and support the students in effectively addressing their school and life challenges, as well as empowering them to make sound and success-producing decisions about their futures, the district said.
This experience is designed to inspire emerging student leaders to seek high levels of personal and academic success and accept leadership responsibilities for making positive contributions to their families, schools and society; develop a network of students that supports possible future collaboration among these emerging leaders; and engage students in activities that will foster personal leadership development, build a diverse community, and assist in establishing meaningful continuing leadership activities back in their home district.
