2026 Radnor Champions Basketball Program Begins March 17

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Calling all future basketball stars in the Radnor area: Radnor Township's Parks and Recreation Department is once again hosting its Radnor Champions Basketball program.
This program is designed for special needs participants from kindergarten through 12th grade of all ability levels.
Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, March 17 to April 28, and Saturdays, March 21 to May 2, at the Radnor Activity Center at Sulpizio Gym. Sessions will not be held March 31 and April 4.

Tuesdays are reserved for practices, and Saturdays are reserved for scrimmage-style games.
“Champions programming is designed to provide a welcoming, supportive, and engaging environment where neurodivergent children can build confidence, develop social connections, and most importantly, have fun while being fully themselves," Radnor Township Parks & Recreation Program Supervisor Bekir Altunbas said.

Below is the schedule by age group:
Grades K-5
- Tuesdays (practices), 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
- Saturdays (games), 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Grades 6-12
- Tuesdays (practices), 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
- Saturdays (games), 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Registration is $180 for residents and $210 for non-residents. Fees include a t-shirt and an end-of-season keepsake for each participant.

Professional coaching staff and volunteers provide a structured environment for a program that will emphasize social skills, physical activity, and the game of basketball.
Participants will make new friends, develop new skills, and work together.
All details are subject to change. Due to unforeseen situations such as those imposed by inclement weather or health and safety issues, cancelations may occur. We will make every attempt to reschedule or restructure when possible.
