21 Radnor High School Juniors Win Academic Awards
The honorees showed "excellence in scholarship," and an "intellectual commitment, a self-directed and purposeful vision," the district said.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Twenty-one Radnor High School juniors were honored with 26 academic awards at the annual Junior Awards Night on May 13 in the Radnor High School library.
In addition to certificates of achievement, recipients received a book selected and given by RHS Principal Dan Bechtold.
Estelle Atkinson, Katherine Bell, Anne Burton, David Clarke, Anahita Darvish, Mariana Floody, Courtney Gallagher, Lucy Hederick, Helen Hu, Baylee Huang, Anna Iaramboykov, Amia Korman, Milena Kozlowska, Lydia MacKenzie, Ryan Oliver, Marcus Omwanza, Emily Rios, Nicholas Speranza, Sara Takenaka, Mehek Thapar, and Annabel Zhao all received awards at the event.

Students who meet various criteria, such as "excellence in scholarship with achievement in other fields" or "an intense intellectual commitment, a self-directed and purposeful vision...and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the world," were presented the awards.
The faculty chooses the recipients.

Most of the awards require the students to be in the top five or 10 percent of their class.
