3 Radnor Roads Affected By Projects Next Week

The projects affect Conestoga and Sugartown roads until late October, as well as Lancaster Avenue through Sept. 29, according to PennDOT.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Three projects in Radnor Township will affect traffic beginning Monday, Sept. 25, two of which will last for weeks, according to PennDOT.

According to PennDOT, Aqua Pennsylvania is planning weekday lane restrictions on Sugartown Road between Poplar Avenue and Longwood Drive.

The restrictions will be in place from Monday, Sept. 25, through Friday, Oct. 27, between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for water main installation, PennDOT said.

Additionally, PECO is scheduled to close Conestoga Road weekdays between Devon and Lenoir avenues in Radnor, PennDOT said.

The closure will be in place Monday, Sept. 25, through Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for gas main installation, PennDOT said.

During construction, Conestoga Road traffic will be detoured over Lancaster and Wayne avenues.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Lastly, Lancaster Avenue east and west will see lane closures between Spring Mill Road and Ithan Avenue from Monday, Sept. 25 through Friday, Sept. 29.

Closures will be in effect between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., PennDOT said.

Crews are working on the Lancaster Avenue-spanning pedestrian bridge, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near these work areas, PennDOT said. The schedule is weather dependent.
