Alleged Pot Brownies Eaten Willingly On High School Campus: RTSD
The district said the students involved in the incident and that it is "taking appropriate action" after three students got sick.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Students who were sickened by what may have been marijuana-laced brownies at a Radnor High School event recently did so willingly, and the students involved have been identified, the district said in a message to the school community Saturday, Nov. 4.
Radnor Township School District Superintendent Kenneth Batchelor said in an email that at least five students at a banquet and bonfire event on the high school campus ate what they thought were marijuana-laced brownies on Thursday, Nov. 2.
"These students may have purchased the brownies that evening from another student. Based on our investigation, no tainted food was consumed without that person’s knowledge," Batchelor wrote in the message. "Additionally, at least three students sought medical attention at a hospital due to the effects of the brownies on Thursday night."

Police and the district launched investigations into the allegedly tainted brownies, and the district said it has identified the students involved and "appropriate action" is being taken.
Batchelor said to the district's knowledge, at "no point was there tainted food present or ingested, either knowingly or unknowingly, at Friday’s annual LM Pep Rally," contrary to previous reports stating the incident occurred at the pep rally.
"The entirety of this incident occurred the evening of Thursday, Nov. 2," the district said.
Radnor Police took a suspected tainted brownie in as evidence and are testing to see what, if any, illicit or harmful substances, were in them.
The district and police continue to investigate the incident.
"Our goal is to be proactive and communicate accurate information about incidents that affect our school and district community, especially when these incidents impact student health and safety," Batchelor said. "If you have any concerns or questions, please feel comfortable reaching out to your child’s counselor or school administrator.
"Our children’s safety and the choices they make are important to all of us. We all must work together to guide and care for our students," Batchelor said.
Patch has reached out to Radnor Police for more information on the incident. The story will be update when details are made available.
