Heavy Fire Spreads Through Main Line House On Fourth Of July

RADNOR, PA — A two-alarm fire damaged a house on the Fourth of July in Radnor, officials said.

The fire broke out around 5 p.m. on Heather Lane. Flames from the rear deck extended to the first and second floors of the home as heavy smoke rose through the roof.

The Bryn Mawr Fire Company called it several other departments to assist, later calling a second alarm due to extreme temperatures.

Flames fueled by the triple-digit temperatures quickly spread, officials said.

Crews got the fire under control at 5:45 p.m., according to the Radnor Fire Company.

Photos shared by the RFC show extensive damage to the deck, with smoke damage visible inside the house.

The cause of the fire wasn't immediately available.
