RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — A man died after crashing his motorcycle Tuesday evening on Interstate 476 in Radnor Township, according to State Police.
The crash happened around 6:35 p.m. on I-476 North, where troopers found the man lying face down and unconscious in the left lane.
Emergency personnel rendered aid, but the 53-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Police withheld his name and where he lives.
Witnesses statements indicate that the motorcyclist was weaving through traffic while speeding, police said. When he tried to switch from the center lane to the left lane, he lost control of his motorcycle and got pinned under it.
The motorcycle slid about 150 feet, left the roadway and struck a guide rail before coming to rest in the left lane.
I-476 North was shut down for several hours.
