Armed Robbery at Wayne TD Bank

An employee was forced at gunpoint to take two men into the bank's vault, police said.

The TD Bank in Wayne was robbed on Friday by two men, one of whom was armed, Radnor Police said.

Two men entered the bank, at 212 E. Lancaster Ave., around 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, police said. The taller of the two was dressed all in white, with his face concealed by a purple ski mask. He was not armed.

The shorter man was dressed all in black, with his face concealed by a black ski mask. He wore one glove and was carrying what appeared to be a 9mm handgun, police said.

There were no customers in the bank at the time, police said.

A male employee was forced at gunpoint to take them into the vault, where the armed man filled a yellow plastic bag with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The entire robbery lasted less than 3 minutes, police said.

Radnor Police are working with the Federal Bureau of Investigations in investigating the robbery, police said, and have offered a $7,500 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the bank robbers.
