Pennsylvania State Police have charged Anthony Richardson, 50, of Philadelphia in connection with the May 5 incident, which happened around 3 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-476 near the Schuylkill Expressway in West Conshohocken.

Authorities say Richardson, who was in a dark blue Lincoln sedan, shot at a blue Mitsubishi Lancer while on the road. The Mitsubishi was struck, but no injuries were reported.

The driver fled after the shooting but thanks to a sketch of the suspect widely distributed, police were provided tips that led to an arrest.

The victim has positively identified the shooter as Richardson, 6ABC reports.

A Pennsylvania State Police spokeswoman told NBC10 the shooter, now identified as Richardson, pulled up to the Mitsubishi, rolled his window down and fired the shots. State Police have said the shooting was related to a "road rage" incident.
