Arrest Made In Wayne Home Burglary: Police

The 35-year-old man allegedly broke into a Wayne home and stole a Samsung smart flat panel TV along with several credit cards.

An arrest has been made in a home burglary that happened last month in Wayne, police announced this week.

Tredyffrin police have arrested Jose Castro, 35, of Philadelphia in connection with the crime. He is accused of committing a March 18 home break-in and robbery along the 600 block of Colonel Dewees Lane in Wayne, according to police.

He took a Samsung 55 inch smart flat panel television and credit cards that were used within hours of the burglary to purchase food and were linked to the defendant, police said.

Castro was arraigned via video before Magisterial District Judge Analisa Sondergaard of District Court# 15-4-01 in Chesterbrook.

He was then remanded to the Chester County Prison in lieu of posting $50,000 cash bail.

Castro is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 15 at 9 a.m.
