Attempted Theft Reported At Ithan Elementary School

Radnor Police are investigating the damage of three HVAC units on top of Ithan Elementary School, according to a report by the Delaware County Times.

The newspaper reports the damage happened in the new section of the school that is under construction during the weekend of March 12 to March 13. Someone went on the school roof and broke into the HVAC units seeking copper, according to police.

According to the report, the school will have to replace the units as well as obtain environmental cleanup services. The damage is estimated to be in “the tens of thousands of dollars” range.
