August 6: Get Crackin' for Charity at Glenmede's Crab Fest to Benefit Radnor-Based Health Care Nonprofit Help Hope Live
Family fun Gladwyne/Radnor Crab Fest event with all-you-can-eat blue crabs, sides, beer, wine, games and all proceeds to charity.

RADNOR, Pa.—On Sunday, August 6, 2017, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., join Glenmede and Help Hope Live at St. Christopher’s Church in Gladwyne (226 Righters Mill Road) for Crab Fest 2017. Proceeds from the family-friendly event will benefit the nonprofit Help Hope Live and its mission to support community-based fundraising for people with unmet medical and related expenses due to cell and organ transplants or catastrophic injuries and illnesses.
Advance tickets start at $45 and include all-you-can-eat blue crabs, fried chicken, savory and sweet sides, plus two drink tickets for your choice of beer or wine. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase the day of. The event will also feature live music, raffles, and lawn games for all ages. Help Hope Live was founded in 1983 by a Villanova couple, a transplant surgeon and a nurse, who wanted to eliminate financial barriers to lifesaving organ transplants. Today, the organization has grown into a national nonprofit serving all solid organ, bone marrow and stem cell transplant candidates, as well as individuals living with catastrophic injuries or illnesses. Since 1983, fundraising campaigns organized by Help Hope Live have raised over $126 million to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses for more than 8,000 patients and families in medical crisis.
