'Bitter' Cold Coming Early This Week, Forecasters Predict

Temperatures will drop to the teens Monday night, the National Weather Service says

An Arctic front will bring ”bitter” cold to the region this week, forecasters say. In response to the dropping temperatures, at least two Philadelphia area counties have declared a “Code Blue” through Thursday morning.

Daytime temperatures in the Philadelphia region will be in the mid-20s on Monday and Tuesday. Overnight temperatures will be in the teens Monday into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

“Blustery winds will worsen the situation,” Accuweather predicts.
