Boy Scouts Hosting Food Collection In Wayne Saturday

WAYNE, PA — A Boy Scout troop from the Main Line is looking to support a local food pantry during the coronavirus pandemic.
Paoli Troop 1 is planning to lend a hand to the Wayne Food Pantry by hosting a collection this weekend.
From 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, the troop will be doing a contactless, drive-thru food collection event.

The collection site is in South Wayne Avenue, across from the Radnor Fire Company, which is located at 121 S. Wayne Ave. in Wayne.
Those looking to support the effort can simply pull up to the site with donation items in their trunk, pop the trunk, and the scouts will take the items.

Items sought for donation are:
- canned tuna, chicken, and other meats
- canned soup
- canned beans
- canned vegetables
- jams and jellies
- peanut butter
- spaghetti/pasta sauce
- macaroni and cheese
- boxed rice
- boxed mashed potatoes
- cereal
- toiletries
- toilet paper
- toothpaste
- shampoo
- soap
- hygiene products
