Skunk Hollow Community Garden Shed-ing Winter!

Skunk Hollow Community Garden's new shed is ready for Spring. The tool shed is well built with nice storage space to keep things dry & organized. It was put to good use on "Bed Build" day 3/9.

Fall 2012 found Eagle Scout Declan Evans busy at work on his project to build a shed for the community garden at Skunk Hollow. Members of the garden community provided additional ideas and hands to help get the much needed storage area completed before winter settled in.

It was amazing to watch the shed develop from its skeletal beginnings to the beautiful and practical structure it now is. The photographs follow its progress and final result, but don’t quite communicate all the effort that produced it. We appreciate Declan’s and all the helpers’ hard work. We are very happy to have our new tool shed.

Along with the completion of our new shed, spring work started at Skunk Hollow Community garden before the official arrival of the vernal equinox on March 20. New members joined the garden and new plots were created. Another ‘bed build’ day on Saturday March 9th added 18 new raised beds to the garden. We are ready for Year Two at Skunk Hollow Community Garden!
