Break Out Your Tents For Radnor's Great American Backyard Campout

VILLANOVA, PA – Radnor Township's Recreation and Community Programming Department and the Radnor Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are teaming up again to host a community campout event that will get new campers familiar with various camping activities. The Great American Backyard Campout is set for June 24 at The Willows Park in Villanova.

The event is perfect for novice and beginner campers.

Attendees will learn how to pitch a tent, start a campfire, and set up a campsite.

Other activities have not been listed, but one sure activity is a nighttime hike through the Willows.

Afternoon activities are planned to begin at 1 p.m., however.

Registration is required and all kids are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Registration for Radnor residents is now open.

Registration for non residents opens June 1.

Campers must bring their own supplies and tents.

In the event of inclement weather, the campout will be held July 8.
