Burglars Posing As Water Company Workers In Main Line Area

Police on the Main Line are warning residents of a reported attempted burglars posing as water company employees in the area.

According to Radnor Police, this week a neighboring police jurisdiction got a report of an attempted burglary.

Two Hispanic men went to an area home posing as water company workers, police said.

The pair knocked on the door and asked to enter the home to check for problems, police said.

When another resident at that home arrived, the two men ran, according to police.

Police are urging residents to not let any workers in their homes until after contacting the utility companies in question to ensure the "workers" are actually company employees and confirm that workers should be at their property wearing proper Identification.

Police said to call 911 if you are ever in doubt of a person's motives.
