Cake Smashing Event Raising Funds For Childhood Cancer Research

The "Smash Out Cancer" event will put the "fun" in fundraiser, as attendees will be able to smash their own cake for charity.

WAYNE, PA – During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, two Wayne businesses are teaming up to "smash out cancer" by hosting a fundraiser for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and you're invited to do some smashing.

Wayne businesses Little Nest Portraits and The Ultimate Bake Shoppe will host the free "Smash Out Cancer Photo Pop" on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Little Nest's studio in Wayne.

Participants will get to do their own personal cake smash photo session, which includes a social media share digital file, organizers said.

Instead of paying for a photo session, participants are asked to donate to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to help it continue fighting childhood cancer, according to organizers.

You can donate at the event or online here.
