Carroll names new Athletic Director

Tom Quintois ready to lead Archbishop John Carroll athletic program and student-athletes

Thomas J. Quintois has been appointed as the new Athletic Director at Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor. Quintois comes to Archbishop Carroll after serving as Athletic Director at Lansdale Catholic High School for the past two years.

“I’m excited about this opportunity,” Quintois said. “Carroll has a positive academic and athletic reputation, and the facilities are fantastic. The enthusiasm for our program is contagious.”

Quintois said he has high expectations for Carroll’s student-athletes and coaches. “I want our programs to win,” he said. “We need to be of high character on and off the field. It is very important to me for our program to be engaged spiritually, which is part of our culture at Carroll, and to give back to the community.”

Quintois has extensive experience in high school athletics as an administrator and coach. He was Athletic Director at Souderton Area School District (2003-15) where he supervised 30 varsity teams and 100 staff members. He has also served as men’s and women’s soccer coach for 10 years. He coached Men’s Soccer at Ursinus College and was a United States Youth Soccer Association Region 1 coach.

“We are very excited to have someone of Tom’s reputation, caliber and experience leading our student-athletes here at Carroll,” said Francis E. Fox, Archbishop Carroll president. “We are confident he will take our athletic department to new heights.”

Quintois earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Temple University. He has a Master of Arts and Education from Gratz College and Principal Certification from Gwynedd-Mercy College.

The school also announced that Carroll Freshman Football Coach Bill O’Donnell has been appointed Interim Assistant Athletic Director.
