Columbine School Shooting Survivor To Speak In Radnor

Jami Amo was in ninth grade when 12 of her classmates and a teacher were killed by two students who took their own lives in 1999.

RADNOR, PA — A survivor of the Columbine High School shooting will come to Radnor to talk about gun violence in February.

The Radnor High School Alliance for Safe Kids will welcome gun prevention activist, gun violence
victim and survivor advocate Jami Amo at 9 a.m. on Friday, February 7 in the Radnor High School
Black Box Theatre.

Amo is a survivor of the 1999 shooting at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado.

She was a freshman at the school when 12 fellow students and a teacher were killed before the shooters took their own lives.

Amo was among hundreds of Columbine students who managed to escape to safety.

At the event, she will discuss the history of school violence, the effects of trauma and changes in policy that have influenced all aspects of school safety.

This free event is open to all Radnor Township School District parents and guardians.
