Counterfeit Money Circulating Delco, Police Warn

The fake bills have matching serial numbers, E 05201634 A, and are very high quality.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Counterfeit $100 bills are circulating Delaware County, according to police.

Police in Media said they have gotten reports of people passing the fake cash.

According to police, the bills have identical serial numbers: E 05201634 A.

While the money is bogus, police said the quality of the bills is very good and that they will pass a counterfeit marker detector.

Police are urging our merchants to compare serial numbers to ensure they are not taking the fake money.
