Crossing Guard Sought In Radnor Township

Getting the kids of Radnor Township to and from school safely is an extremely important job, and it could be yours.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Radnor Township Police are looking for the right person to get kids to school safely, as they are hiring a school crossing guard for the 2017-2018 year.

According to the township, the job is a part time seasonal position in the Radnor Township Police Department.

Crossing guards are responsible for the safe movement of children to and from school when crossing public roadways and intersections.

The work requires some independent judgment. However assignments are received from the Supervisor of Parking and Auxiliary Services in the form of general outlines of desired results and the employee is expected to develop methods and routines for the completion of assigned tasks.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass a criminal background investigation, child abuse clearance, and pre-employment physical that includes a drug test. Candidates with high school diplomas or higher are preferred.

Ideal applicants must show the ability to communicate clearly and maintain an effective working relationship with the public, as well as the ability to successfully complete annual training related to position.
