According to CBS Philadelphia, the elder McMaster fell and allegedly did not receive proper care.
"The safety and well-being of every Cathedral Village resident is our top priority," Cathedral Village said in a statement. "We are fully cooperating and working with all authorities as they continue to investigate the death of an 84-year-old resident."
Police searched the facility Tuesday, according to 6ABC.
"After immediately notifying the family and appropriate authorities of the resident’s death, we began our own internal investigation, which is ongoing," the statement reads. "We offer the family our prayers and condolences for their loss."
Gen. McMaster was tapped as a National Security Advisor by the Trump Administration. He later left the administration in April and former United States Ambassador John Bolton took over the role.
