Delco 8th Graders Gifted Bulletproof Bookbag Plates At Graduation

Eight graders graduating to the high school level at a Chadds Ford Catholic school were gifted bulletproof plates as graduation gifts.

CHADDS FORD, PA – In 2018, bulletproof backpack plates are not a surprising graduation gift and a group of Delaware County 8th grade students graduating to high school were given just that.

Multiple outlets report 8th graders at St. Cornelius Catholic School in Chadds Ford were gifted the bulletproof backpack plates at their graduation ceremony on Monday, June 4.

Philly.com reports Glen Mills-based Unequal Technologies, developer of the plates, donated 25 plates to the school. The president of Unequal Technologies has a daughter who attends the school.
