Delco Deli Bets 6-Foot Hoagie In Eagles-Patriots Wager
A Delco deli and a Massachusetts deli have some interesting clauses in the bet that address puking quarterbacks and game ball inflation.

The big game is nearly here, and the unique bets between politicians, police departments, and business over the Eagles-Patriots Super Bowl keep coming in. And a Delaware County deli has a bet with a Massachusetts deli on the outcome of the game.
Centrella's Deli in Havertown has put a 6-foot hoagie (and some serious gas money, as the two delis are more than 320 miles apart) on the line in a bet with Lucci's Market, which is located about an hour north of Foxborough in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
The two delis have struck a deal regarding the outcome of Super Bowl 52.

Here are the details:
If the Eagles win, Lucci's has to hand deliver a 6-foot Italian hoagie – NOT a sub – to Centrella's at least seven days after the game. Conversely, Centrella's has to do the same if those annoying Patriots win.

The bet started when Lucci's owner John Lucci emailed Centrella's owner AJ Loustau randomly.
The two emailed back and forth, drew up a contract which we linked to below, and signed it, making the bet legally (we think) binding.
"It's been fun," Loustau told Patch. "Those guys have been awesome."
Loustau said there has been friendly smack talk, player updates, and hot takes shared between the two delis, and it had bled onto social media as well.
"All of Havertown can't wait to taste a Lucci's Award Winning HOAGIE," Centrella's wrote on Facebook.
The bet has some interesting clauses, too.
First is an "Inflation Insurance Provision," which states the bet is no good if the NFL finds any balls in the big game to be insufficiently inflated.
The second provision takes a dig at former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb who (allegedly) vomited on the sidelines during the 2005 Super Bowl when the Eagles and Patriots faced off. The McNabb Provision states: "If any quarterback of any team vomits on the sideline within the last five minutes of the competition, automatic loss of wager."
We think Foles has the grit to hold down any potential puke on Sunday.
"A ton of people have been into [the bet]," Loustau said. "A lot of people are chiming in."
And there is another, adorable, caveat in the bet, Loustau and his wife are expecting. Should his nine-months-pregnant wife give birth during the seven-day delivery period, Loustau has a five-day extension on his delivery.
Despite the Patriot's previous win over the Eagles in the Super Bowl and their five Super Bowl Rings, Centrella's and the rest of the Philadelphia area is confident in the Birds.
Loustau said if – no, when – the Eagles win there will be a spectacle when the Lucci's folks deliver their HOAGIE to Havertown.
