Kitchen knife stabbing leads to murder charged for Chester man, according to the DA's office.

A Delaware County man is facing murder charges after police said he stabbed and killed a man on Oct. 12, according to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office.
Nathaniel Powell, 64, of Chester, has been charged with first degree murder, criminal homicide, and possession of a weapon of crime, according to an affidavit for probable cause filed by Delaware County's Criminal Investigation Division (CID).
The DA's office said Powell's preliminary hearing is slated for Nov. 1.

Powell was charged after an investigation by CID Detectives and the Chester Police Department, the DA's office said.
The investigation resulted in detectives learning that Powell stabbed and killed Eric Potts with a kitchen knife after an altercation took place between the two men in the defendant’s vehicle after he picked up the victim from his home in Chester in the late night and early morning hours of Oct. 11 and Oct. 12, the DA's office said.
