Delco Man Facing Felony Child Porn Charges: DA's Office
Walter Irwin is facing 50 counts each of felony child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility, court records show.
A Delaware County man is facing charges related to child pornography after county and FBI investigators found numerous images and videos depicting child pornography on a computer, according to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office.
Walter Timothy Irwin, 44, of Upper Chichester, has been charged with 50 counts each of felony child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility, as well as one felony count of disseminating photos and videos depicting child sex acts, court documents show.
Irwin was arraigned Nov. 9 and released on $150,000 unsecured bail by Magisterial District Judge Diane M. Holefelder, court record show. He is scheduled to appear before Holefelder for his preliminary hearing on Nov. 23, court record show.

The DA's office said Holefelder placed Irwin on electronic home monitoring with GPS and was ordered to surrender his passport, have no internet access, no contact with minors and to complete a psychological and sexual evaluation.
Irwin's charges come after investigators discovered he possessed and disseminated child pornography that included images of a female child in Lion King pajamas between 8-10 years of age engaging in a sex act with an adult male, the DA's office said.

On June 7, 2016, investigators from the Delaware County Internet Crimes Task Force (ICAC) and the FBI executed a search warrant at Irwin's home on suspicion of child pornography, the DA's office said.
Irwin was home at the time of the search where he admitted to possessing child pornography on his computer at several points in time but told detectives that he removed the file sharing program from his computer, the DA's office said.
A forensic examinations resulted in investigators finding 39 images and 11 videos confirmed as child pornography on Irwin’s devices, the DA's office said. One image depicts a female approximately 5-8 years of age preforming oral sex on an adult male, according to the DA's office.
