Delco Man Raped, Assaulted Woman On Christmas Eve: Authorities

A Delaware County man was arrested and charged in connection with a violent Christmas Eve sexual assault, according to court records.

Shaquille Tillmon, 22, of Chester, was charged Dec. 28 in connection with the Dec. 24 assault that occurred in Chester, court records show.

Tillmon, who is being held on $1 million bail, is facing a litany of charges.

Those include rape, criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, stalking, strangulation, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, possession of an instrument of crime, sexual assault, and related charges, court records show.

Tillmon allegedly attacked a woman around 2:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve when she was walking though Deshong Park in Chester, Action News reports.

Tillmon is set to appear for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 9, according to court documents.
