Delco Man's Wrong Turn Lands Him In Alabama: Report
The 89-year-old man was going to Walmart on Saturday when he got lost amid nasty weather, reports say
A Delaware County man found himself in Alabama after taking a wrong turn on his way to Walmart this weekend, according to reports.
Jody Tarbutton, 89, of Boothwyn, Delaware County, was heading to pick up some items from the store Saturday. The nasty weather in the area didn't help when he took a wrong turn.
Tarbutton ended up in Haleyville, Alabama, NBC 13 WVTM reports. That's about 900 miles from Boothwyn, according to Google Maps.

The outlet reports Tarbutton knew he was lost and stopped his truck when he saw a police vehicle at a Haleyville restaurant.
When police saw Tarbutton's ID, they contacted his family who fled into the area to bring their wayward father back to Delaware County, the outlet reports.

His truck is being towed back to PA thanks to the help of friendly Alabamians, according to NBC 13.
