Disaster Relief Organization Led By Veterans Arrives In Delaware County
Veteran-led Team Rubicon will help with disaster relief in Delaware County.

A disaster relief organization led by military veterans arrived in Delaware County on Tuesday, according to a press release.
Team Rubicon, which responded to Hurricane Sandy, is focusing its efforts on Aston Township, where hundreds of homeowners were affected after the June 23 storm.
A team has already been deployed to conduct initial damage surveys, meet with the local emergency management agencies, and establish their forward operating base in the local community.

“Volunteers from several states will converge in Aston, PA to perform damage assessments, chainsaw operations, and other storm-related emergency assistance in coordination with local officials,” the release states.
Rubicon has named their Pennsylvania relief efforts “Operation: Five Points” in commemoration of the former Five Star Inn, located at the Township’s “Five Points” intersection.

The inn was used to house British General Cornwallis during 1777 Battle of the Brandywine.
Operation: Five Points is Team Rubicon’s 100th disaster operation since its genesis in 2010.
