DUI Crackdown On The Main Line Labor Day Weekend
You're warned: Officers of a Main Line police department will be cracking down on impaired driving over the holiday weekend.

You should never get behind the wheel while you are impaired in any way, especially under the influence of drugs or alcohol. And during the Labor Day weekend, one Main Line police department will be cracking down on any potential DUI to ensure a safe holiday weekend for residents.
From Thursday, Aug. 3 through Monday, Sept. 3, Lower Merion Township Police will be conducting impaired driving checkpoints combined with roving patrols in the township.
This initiative is in partnership with a national impaired driving crackdown featuring intensified, highly visible enforcement activities using the tagline "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."

Sobriety checkpoints are highly visible, systematic methods for stopping vehicles at selected locations to determine whether motorists are operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.
The sobriety checkpoint is being funded by a PennDOT grant and is one of many tools utilized to increase public safety through increased awareness created by high profile enforcement.
