Election 2022: Deadline To Register To Vote Is Oct. 24

Pennsylvania residents have options to vote at the poll, or by mail in the Nov. 8 election for govenor and other federal and state offices.

RADNOR, PA —Delaware County residents can still register to vote in the Nov. 8 election for governor and other state and federal elections online or by absentee or mail-in ballots.

Election officials worked with municipalities to provide more than a dozen secure ADA-compliant locations for drop-boxes across the county.

Radnor Township: a drop-box will be available by Monday, Oct. 24 at Radnor Township Municipal Building, 301 Iven Ave., Wayne, PA 19087.

These are important deadlines:

  • Oct. 24 : Deadline to register to vote online as late as 11:59 p.m. Registration applications can also be downloaded and mailed to Voter Registration, 201 W. Front St., Media.
  • Nov. 1: Last day to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot. Application for absentee ballot is available here. Application for a mail-in ballot is available here.
  • Nov. 8: 8 p.m. deadline to return absentee or where to mail absentee or mail-in ballots
  • How to mail ballots: Place ballot in an envelope with states “Official Election Ballot.” Drop off locations are available here.

So far, Delaware County Elections has processed more than 42,000 vote-by-mail ballots.

  • Early Drop-box: Those who wish to use a drop-box before Oct. 24 may use a box at Government Center Building, 201 W. Front St., Media. The drop box is accessible to voters at the Orange Street entrance.
  • Voter Services in Media is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with evening hours extended to 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
  • Other services: The return of a ballot by anyone other than the voter is prohibited unless the person returning the ballot is rendering assistance to a disabled voter or an emergency absentee voter. Assistance requires a declaration signed by the voter and by the person rendering assistance. The declaration form is accessible on the Delco Votes! website at delcopa.gov/vbm.
