Ex Radnor Pol's Sentence To Be Reconsidered After Probation Stirs Ire
William Spingler was sentenced to two years probation for fondling a 103-year-old woman and that was met with anger from the community.

RADNOR, PA – After a probation and home-monitoring sentence was imposed on former Radnor Township Commissioner William Spingler and raised ire among prosecutors and the public, a Delaware County judge has set a date to reconsider his sentencing.
Court records show Judge John Capuzzi Sr. set a Nov. 9 date to reconsider Spingler's two-year-probation, 60-month-home-monitoring sentence that was handed down Oct. 12.
Just days after the sentence was imposed, county prosecutors filed a motion to reconsider the sentence for two reasons.

The Delaware County District Attorney's office said those reasons are that Spingler's supervision should be under the sex offender unit, rather than the general unit, and that the ruling should include no contact with the victim, who is Spingler's mother in law.
Prosecutors in the case were hoping for a three- to 23-month prison sentence, with a seven-year probation period to follow.
