Expert Giving 'The Science of Sleep' Talk At Radnor High School
The talk will focus on school start time changes, obstacles and solutions, and the outcomes experienced by schools that made the change.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Continuing the ongoing study of improving student sleep health and the possible implementation of later start school start times, Radnor Township School District is welcoming and internationally-recognized pediatric sleep expert for a public presentation focusing on "The Science of Sleep."
Dr. Judith Owens — Director of Sleep Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and a Professor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School — will present a discussion on school start time changes, obstacles and solutions, and the outcomes experienced by schools that made the change.
The free event will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7 at Radnor High School and is open to all community members.

Owens is a well-regarded authority on pediatric sleep and the author of over 150 original research and review articles in peer-review journals, chapters, and books on the topic.

She previously served as the Director of Sleep Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC and was the Director of the Pediatric Sleep Disorders Clinic and the Learning, Attention, and Behavior Program at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
She is board certified in Pediatrics and Sleep Medicine.
