False Alarm Fire Calls A Problem Near Radnor

A new measure would hold businesses and contractors responsible for "negligence" leading to boy who cried wolf situations.

False alarms are becoming a problem near Radnor, according to a report by the Daily Local News.

Berwyn Fire Chief Eamon Brazunas recently asked the board of supervisors in Tredyffrin to implement a policy that would limit false alarm fire calls, the Daily Local News reported.

The measure to hold businesses and contractors responsible for ”negligent” false alarms leading to a boy who cried wolf situation, the report states.

Fines would be handed out for repeat offenders.

One example of negligence, Brazunas says, is contractors who repeatedly practice the same techniques that set off the fire alarm, when there is no real fire.
