Felony Burglary Charge Filed After Mad Anthony Wayne Cafe Break-In

A Philadelphia man is accused of breaking into the café on North Wayne Avenue early Saturday morning, according to police and court records.

WAYNE, PA — Felony burglary and related charges have been filed in connection with a break-in at the Station Café in Wayne, according to Radnor Police.

Court records show Omar Bey, 32, of Philadelphia, was charged with felony burglary, criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property on Saturday.

Police said a burglary was discovered at the café, 135 N. Wayne Ave., at about 6:56 a.m. Saturday.

After showing up, police found a man who forced his way into the business.

Police said the man tampered with a cash register and stole several items on the business's counter.

Bey was taken into custody and remanded to the Delaware County jail after failing to post 10 percent of $10,000 bail, court documents show.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 26, according to court documents.
