Fire Breaks Out At White Dog Cafe In Wayne: Police

Radnor Township Police said a fire broke out in cafe on Lancaster Avenue Monday afternoon.

WAYNE, PA – A fire broke out in White Dog Cafe in Wayne Monday afternoon, according to authorities.

A fire broke out in the restaurant's main kitchen ventilation system at about 1 p.m., according to the Radnor Fire Company.

Witnesses say smoke was coming from the restaurant's roof.

No one was hurt in the fire and traffic was blocked for about an hour as crews worked on scene.

White Dog Cafe said on Facebook it will close for the rest of Monday due to the situation.

"Guests with reservations will receive a call to reschedule or to book this evening at our sister restaurant Autograph Brasserie in Wayne or at White Dog Haverford," the cafe posted online Monday afternoon.

The scene was clear by about 3 p.m.

Berwyn, Bryn Mawr, Broomall, Gladwyne, Newtown Square, Narberth, Manoa, and Springfield fire

companies all responded to the scene as well.
